Papagayo Beach Hotel

The location was perfect! The property was great and well-maintained. Front desk staff were amazing, especially Eleonora who accommodated a unique request. Beach bar and restaurant were wonderful. My only complaint was with housekeeping. I stayed 9 nights. My room was not cleaned twice - each time, I complained and the staff assured me it would be addressed. My sheets were changed after the third day, which is totally fine, but stained sheets were placed on the bed. I asked housekeeping to change them and they did. Glasses were only cleaned once. I had to go to buy dish liquid to wash them myself. Coffee pods were never replaced - I got them from the front desk. Garbage was not taken out at least once when they had clearly been in to "clean". Given that this property was otherwise great, my experience with housekeeping was a disaster.

I had an amazing stay at Papagayo Beach Hotel — I absolutely loved it! The service from everyone was excellent; truly a top team. A special thanks to Hector and Bergelie for their outstanding hospitality and kindness. They really made our stay extra special. I would definitely recommend this hotel and can’t wait to come back!

We booked an oceanfront room and I thought the sun set towards the left or right of it. It didn't, it was front and center of the spacious 8x20' balcony, just a spectacular view morning and night. All the staff was very nice. My only complaints are the cobblestone walkway just a little tough rolling luggage on or walking barefoot, however a nice look, no ice machine at units its either frt. desk or bar its a bit of a walk for ice. And the hotel restaurant menu wasn't very diverse but what was offered was delicious. Lastly most guests seemed of Dutch descent and if you don't smoke you're not Dutch. I don't smoke, its a dirty disgusting habit, came home and went on the patch LOL. Summary= We had a great time at the resort and in the beautiful country of Curacao, the weather was great the whole 2 weeks, at Cas Abou Beach, never in my life did I swim in water as blue.

The location and atmosphere were exactly what I wanted for my birthday celebration. I was pleasantly surprised to find cake and Prosecco in my room upon arrival. Additionally, some balloons would have been a nice festive touch in the room; it doesn’t have to be elaborate, but it would have added to the celebration for a very low cost. The room itself was neat and clean; however, there were a few areas that could be improved. The air vent in the bathroom had a lot of dust and cobwebs hanging from it. Additionally, the headboard of the bed was scratched, and the table by the sofa was broken, so I had to be careful when moving it closer. Part of the curtain that opens to the patio was also outside the railing. I wanted to sleep in on Monday, but the gardeners were blowing leaves and talking right outside my patio door, which disturbed my rest a bit. The breakfast buffet was pleasant—the food was average, but the mimosa bar was a big hit for me, and the price is very reasonable. While we enjoyed the tranquility by the pool, I would suggest adding more shade around the private pool. It got really hot at some point, and you can barely find shade in the afternoon. Overall, though, I had a very relaxing stay and am grateful for the experience.

We had an amazing experience at this hotel. The front desk staff was incredibly attentive and welcoming. We would especially like to thank Bergelie and the manager, Eleonora, who went above and beyond to assist us. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine care made all the difference for us. We used the gym, which is very well equipped, and the infinity pool is absolutely beautiful. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was also very good. Overall, a wonderful stay with a team that truly cares about their guests.
