Maya Ubud Resort & Spa

I stayed here for a week in a pool villa recently and absolutely loved everything about it. The resort is far away enough from Ubud to be lovely and peaceful but close enough that you can be in the middle of Ubud within 5-10 minutes on a bike. The jungle location is just stunning, the grounds are immaculate and my private pool villa was just perfect. Spacious and comfortable and I had monkeys running through my garden most days which was just magical. The food and drinks were great - the spa and treatments were lovely. I did use the two pools and again, just amazing. The staff cannot do enough for you and are so happy, polite and courteous. I stayed a week before moving to another amazing resort a bit further out but Maya was ,without a doubt, the favourite of the 5 hotels I stayed in while in Bali. Outstanding in every way and I would absolutely love to return. Book it, you won’t be disappointed.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A once-in-a-lifetime experience at Maya Ubud Resort & Spa! 🌿❤️ Staying at Maya Ubud for four nights was truly an unforgettable experience. A resort this magnificent, surrounded by a beautiful forest, feels like something you would only see in a movie or even imagine with AI. But being there in person and experiencing it was something completely different. 🌴✨ The resort is incredible — surrounded by nature, with two amazing infinity pools that make the whole experience even more magical. But honestly, the **main highlight for us was not the resort itself — it was the people.** ❤️ From the room attendants and reception team to the restaurant staff and bartenders, **everyone, absolutely everyone, was so friendly, helpful, and welcoming.** You could genuinely feel how much they appreciated having their guests there. Their kindness and warmth made us feel truly valued throughout our entire stay. And this is something we really want to emphasise: **without these amazing people, the Maya Ubud experience would simply not have been the same.** They are the heart of the resort and the reason our four nights became such a special and unforgettable memory. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to meet such wonderful people and to experience Maya Ubud Resort & Spa with them. 🌿❤️ Thank you to every single person who made our stay so special. We had a wonderful time at Maya Ubud and would definitely recommend staying there, especially for the private pool and outdoor shower.

From the minute our bags were taken from us at the front of the hotel we felt welcome. At check in we were sent to a seating area and presented with a welcome drink. The reception staff then came to us and gave us a full explanation of the hotel and its facilities. We were then taken to our villa which was spotlessly clean, and a fantastic facility with its own private pool. The restaurants and bars were high standard with good food. Across the entire hotel the staff were friendly, helpful, and made us feel welcome.

Amazing hotel just a short taxi from the main streets of Ubud. The butlers (Darmen, Yuda and Mei) are fantastic, all staff were extremely helpful and polite throughout our stay. We stayed in a pool villa which was super clean and the beds were very comfy. The resort is quiet and tranquil. The site itself is amazing and very well kept. The river side pool is the best pool we have ever been too and the pictures really don’t do it justice. However there only 2-3 pairs of sunbeds that sit in the sun so you have to be up early to get the best spot. The only aspect that makes this hotel 4/5 and not 5/5 is the food. The breakfast was good but the options available to you for lunch and dinner are all western, the river cafe is amazing but serves pasta and pizza which feels very out of sorts in Bali. This is why we ate out each night.
