Puri Santrian Beach Resort and Spa

This was a solo visit, I came to meet a school friend in Bali, my husband stayed home to play golf. We usually stay in a Premium Deluxe room. This time because I was alone I stayed in the newish deluxe wing, above the gym. The room was very small comparatively - you do get what you do or don't pay for. I asked for the top floor and was given it. I knew a new gym had gone in on the ground floor of this block. What didn't occur to me was that there was no lift was added when the block was refurbished and the gym built. If going up three flights of stairs a day is your thing, then the club rooms are a much better bet. Large rooms there, huge verandah but a very dated bathroom. However, over the course of five nights I was unable to get the water beyond tepid temperature in the shower in the new deluxe room. The staff and the grounds of this hotel are its stand out features. So many lovely people in the dining room, everywhere. It is indeed rare to find anyone who comes across as a bit "off". Even before we were last here in December 2025 we noticed one cleaner who after he collected the tip I leave at the end of the bed daily, made a point of finding us and telling us that he had a couple of days off (the suggestion being why don't you give ME the tip for those days I'm off NOW because I cannot get it). A lone irritant because the staff generally are wonderful. Last night the Puri Santrian had a party for the staff (I assume) to celebrate its 41st anniversary. This involved a PA sound system, a cacophony of noise that ended about midnight. Happy Anniversary Puri Santrian, but your paying guests deserve better than all that noise, screeching for six hours or so - it isn't what we thought we were paying for. I hope the staff had good time, they deserve it but if your guests have to get up for an early flight well.... Last night i booked a wake up call for 4am this morning. It didn't happen but my phone alarm saved me. At the time I booked the wake up call I also asked for someone to help with getting my suitcase down the stairs at 4:15am. I was told to phone this morning. After the wake up call didn't happen I lost faith and at 72, carried my luggage down myself. When I commented on check out about the wake up that wasn't the two young men on the desk were unapologetic and commented that they enjoyed the anniversary party the night before. All in all, over many visits over many years this has been a fantastic hotel staffed by wonderful people. This visit though, a bit crappy. You can do better than this.

Puri Santrian is a second home because of the staff, they always make you feel at home. I especially want to thank Yuli for always take care of you and she is always good at heart and when there is a problem, she always solve it. Thank you Puri Santrian and thank you Yuli for a lifetime experience

We keep coming back to this hotel because of its welcoming Balinese charm. Santrian Club is our choice. The rooms and the ambiance of the club is stunning. There is always a warm greeting and a smiling face that will take care of your every need. I must mention Ms Yuli who is just a magnificent management representative of the hotel, thank you. Look no further than the Puri Santrian, you will not be disappointed. We will be back soon.

Absolutely loving our stay ! Unsure about which room to select ? Honestly, they are all beautiful! Beach Wing room 318 and 317 are truly beautiful and in the most perfect location to main pool, restaurant and beachfront. Puri Santrian is perfect !! Staff are lovely. Food is magnificent. Eating beachfront, with perfect cooling breezes, while the band playing is divine. The walk to Icon Mall is lovely and the beachfront is spectacular. Try Duck Curry it is delicious !! At Puri

Great place to stay close to restaurants and thru to beachwalk. Check in was smooth and efficient, we booked a Premier room which was clean and spacious. rom had it's own private balcony, only downfall with this was the view from balcony was that of a roof of a building at the pool. The staff were more than helpful, breakfast always had a good variety and the omelettes were very tasty. All in all I would recommend this as a great place to stay.
