Puri Santrian Beach Resort and Spa

The hotel itself is beautiful. The pools are great. The service is good. The buffet is good. Lots of birds. The beach area is super chill and nice. The bathroom door is not so private so if you go to the bathroom the people in the room can hear everything. We had a nice room but three floors up the stairs, if you like stairs its great if you have some trouble walking maybe this is not the best hotel because theres lots of walking involved.

Once again, the Puri Santrian has been amazing. This visit, we stayed elsewhere for 5 days before ending our trip here. The "elsewhere" we stayed was 5 star, a newly refurbished very old hotel at the northern end of Sanur beach. The service there while being advertised as 5 star, was absolutely no match for the wonderful 4 star Puri Santrian. I was last here on a solo trip in April 2026 and stayed in the Beach Wing. I was less than enamoured with our beloved Puri Santrian on that trip and let the hotel know why. As always, they listened and have lifted their game. This time, back to our usual haunt when we come as a couple, a Premium Deluxe room and we returned with our neighbours in tow. Beautiful pool, Balinese decor and Balinese landscaping. The grounds of this hotel are exquisite if you are a gardener/landscaper at home. Wonderful staff who wear traditional dress, befitting a very Balinese hotel sitting comfortably within an upper four star standard. Respectful, kind and they don't come hunting for tips. If you seek a 5 star experience in Sanur, you won't find it in the two 5 star hotels we've stayed at here. You'll be much closer to it at the 4 star Puri Santrian, where the staff, the grounds, the pools and pretty much everything are likely to exceed expectations. (The exception being the breakfast offering which as always, is fairly modest). We'll be back. Thank you.

It was a great stay in this hotel! The pool, beach and the whole location is a fantastic and beautiful place! Special thank you goes to the hotel staff and especially to Adelia Chintya! What a fantastic holiday we had. From initial check in to the moment we left we loved every minute. The room we had was a good size with a superking bed and a lovely sized bathroom, which was on the ground floor so had a nice sitting area outside. The hotel itself is very well done, with a large footprint, 2 pools, a private beach and 3 restaurants. The food in the restaurants was excellent quality and the cocktails were great. The staff really couldn't do enough for you, Nopa in the pool bar was exceptional. Location on the beach was brilliant, with a 7km walkway running the length of the resort which was very wheelchair friendly. A very relaxing and comfortable hotel , which although was quite busy was still quiet enough to be tranquil. A real paradise destination with amenities, staff and facilities to match.

We stayed at the Puri Santriana Beach Resort & Spa in Indonesia, and unfortunately, the hotel itself did not rank high on our list. While we were admittedly still comparing everything to our previous stay at the Marina Bay Sands, this property fell short on basic hygiene and comfort standards. The biggest issue was the morning breakfast buffet. Every single morning we ate there, we saw a rat running under the nearby tables. To make matters worse, on our first morning, a bird flew directly onto our table and began eating my husband’s food right in front of us. We also struggled heavily with the water temperature in our room. We complained to management, and they assured us they corrected it, but the water remained cold. We actually resorted to showering at the hotel spa after our treatment just to get a warm shower! However, the absolute saving grace of our time here was our incredible tour guide, Putu. Putu was a complete breath of fresh air. From the moment we met him, he treated us like family. His warmth, genuine care, and incredible hospitality made our excursions a joy, and we were genuinely sad to leave Indonesia because of how beautifully he looked after us. If you visit this property, the rooms are very basic and the breakfast area has serious wildlife issues-but if you are lucky enough to be guided by Putu, you will experience the absolute best of local hospitality!
