Bungalows Miraflor Suites

This was our 2nd visit to this hotel so we were anxious that it wouldnt be as good as 4 months previously but we were even more impressed with everything. The staff - cleaners, bar staff, restaurant and reception workers work tirelessly to ensure everything is perfect. On arrival we were greeted with friendly reception team and quickly checked in. Even though the restaurant was just closing they still invited us in for a cold buffet, crusty bread etc which was delicious. The pool area and all surroundings were very clean as it was the previous visit. The supermarket is only a short stroll from the hotel and sells everything you would need. Yumbo centre is very short walk to if you choose to dine out and has plenty of restaurants to suit all. Evening entertainment is fun and the animation team are brilliant. Whilst encouraging us to take part in daily activities, they do not pester you like other places do which is fab. If I had one negative comment to make, it would be walking back to our hotel room, there are lots of cockroaches that seem to appear in the pathways, they only come out at night so it isn't an issue and to be expected when in a hot country but please keep your doors closed as otherwise they may stroll in! There are a lot of negative reviews for this holiday about cleanliness & lack of food choice but we are fussy eaters and there was more than enough choice. The burgers/ hot dogs are super tasty at lunchtime and there are puddings and ice cream galore. We have had a lovely holiday here and we will definitely return. Tip - if you want to go to maspalomas beach, it's only around €5 in a cab and well worth the trip.

Lovely location, not too far to walk to the Yumbo centre or other bars & restaurants, it's kept very clean and tidy everywhere, cleaners & gardeners do a good job,nice little piece of garden for each bungalow, with a table & chairs & 2 sun loungers, there is now air con in the older bungalows too,beds are comfy, quite spacious, with plenty of cupboards and wardrobe space,( bring spare hangers though,never enough), several choices of meats and fish at meal times,always, bread,chips rice & pastas,pizzas most days, only issues with the food was it was never covered, snacks were left out straight after breakfast & not covered either,all bread related things were dry & crusty by lunchtime. Drinks were fine,but quite expensive after all inclusive finishes if you want to stay up later than 10.30. Most staff were happy,& friendly, but there were a couple who were not so cheerful & a bit rude on occasions. Evening entertainment was ok on the occasion we stayed to watch,but again it finishes early. Not on every night either,so you have to find your own things to do. Overall a lovely relaxing holiday & would be more than happy to stay here again as it was just right for us.

We recently stayed at the hotel and overall I would give it around 3 stars. There were definitely some positives, but also a few things that unfortunately affected our experience. Our room was perfectly fine and had everything we needed. However, we did have an issue during our stay where money that we had stored in the safe in our room went missing. This was obviously very concerning and disappointing, and it was probably the biggest negative of our stay. The food was actually very nice, with a good variety of options and plenty to choose from. The drinks were more disappointing, particularly in the evenings. There wasn’t much choice when it came to alcohol, and the drinks were often either extremely weak or far too strong, with not much consistency. We found some of the hotel staff to be a little unfriendly at times. On occasions, it felt as though they were waiting for an opportunity to snap at us, which could make interactions feel uncomfortable. This also at times felt like it was mainly aimed at guests that were British as the hotel seems to be friendlier to the German guests. One of the biggest positives, however, was the animation team. They were absolutely lovely with everyone and made a real effort to get people involved in the activities without ever being too pushy. They created a really friendly atmosphere around the hotel and were a definite highlight of our stay. The pools were also really nice and a good temperature. Unfortunately, there were often quite a lot of leaves and other debris floating in them, so they could have been cleaned more regularly. The location is really good, with the local town and beach both within a reasonable distance. One thing to be aware of if you’re looking for a particularly peaceful and relaxing holiday is that some of the neighbouring hotels can be quite loud throughout the day.

⭐ HOTEL FROM HELL – PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING If you’re looking for a real-life I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! experience, then this is the hotel for you — because after what we experienced, we couldn’t wait to get out. What was supposed to be our first holiday away as a young couple turned into an absolute nightmare. From the beginning, the staff were extremely rude and disrespectful. We were made to feel like an inconvenience for raising completely reasonable concerns. Our first room was far from clean, but we tried to put it behind us and enjoy our holiday. That quickly changed when we discovered a cockroach infestation while showering that night. We had no choice but to report it and were eventually moved to another room. We thought things were finally going to get better. They didn’t. The door to our new room wouldn’t properly close unless it was slammed, and the lock wasn’t lining up with the mechanism. We were genuinely concerned about the safety of ourselves and our belongings. When maintenance came to look at it, instead of taking our concerns seriously, we were spoken to extremely rudely and effectively told that if we wanted the door to lock, we would have to accept a gap underneath the door or stuff towels underneath it. We were even told this could allow more cockroaches into the room. And unfortunately, that wasn’t an empty threat. That same evening, we found three cockroaches coming out of the sink and drains, followed by another four or five coming out of cupboards and holes in the walls. We were given a can of repellent and essentially left to deal with it ourselves. Then came the final straw. At around 3am, after hours of trying to deal with the situation, we discovered bed bugs around the mattress. At that point, enough was enough. We contacted Jet2 and, after everything we had experienced, made the heartbreaking decision to cut our holiday short and fly home FIVE DAYS EARLY. Luckily, throughout the ordeal we had taken photos and videos of the rooms, cockroaches, bed bugs and other issues as they actually appeared at the time. This proved extremely important, because when we later returned to the room with the Jet2 representative, the room had suddenly been thoroughly cleaned. The evidence we had taken beforehand meant we could show the representative what we had actually found before the room was cleaned, rather than relying solely on our word. He was able to see the photos and videos alongside the room in its cleaned condition. And the treatment didn’t stop there. While waiting for our flight, despite having nowhere safe to go because of the condition of our room, we were told we couldn’t sit in reception and were made to sit outside by the pool for around six hours waiting for assistance. The Jet2 representative was extremely apologetic and came to see the room himself. Unfortunately, by that point, the condition we had originally experienced had already been cleaned up. What made everything even worse was hearing staff talking about us afterwards, suggesting that we were the problem and that we were simply complaining about having cockroaches, ants and bed bugs. We weren’t asking for special treatment. We weren’t complaining about a minor inconvenience. We were asking for the absolute basics: a clean room, a safe room and somewhere free from pests. Instead, our first holiday together became hours of stress, fear, arguments, sleepless nights and eventually an emergency trip home five days earlier than planned. Cockroaches. Bed bugs. Ants. An unsafe door. Rude treatment. No proper solution. This wasn’t a holiday. It was a nightmare. If you’re considering booking this hotel, please think very carefully before doing so. We certainly won’t ever be returning.

The positives are the place is beautiful. We stayed in the older bungalows that were dated but very clean and Spacious. The staff were great very friendly and accommodating. The food was good plenty of choice and a nice pool area… However, the biggest letdown was that the evening entertainment stopped at either 9.50pm or 10.00pm depending on the show. The shows were great but at 10.00 that’s it… I found this very disappointing for an all inclusive resort even if the entertainment went on until 11.00pm would be at least satisfactory. We wouldn’t be big drinkers or anything and I enjoy a rum and Coke in the evening, but the drinks were definitely watered down too much. I get that many all inclusive resorts water down alcohol, but most nights it felt like drinking flat coke.. and the all inclusive bar stops at 10.30 but you can purchase your own alcohol after that time. The animation team did they’re best with activities during the day and the kids disco and I know it wasn’t their fault for the evening entertainment so whoever is in charge of that might rethink as I personally would not return for that reason… we have teenagers and don’t like to venture out at night and more so paying for all inclusive.
