Hotel LIVVO Dunagolf Suites

We had a 9 night stay in June 2026 and it was great . The bungalow was spotless with everything we needed we had a view from the small back patio onto the golf course and a view of the mountains from the large front patio . It was very quiet and peaceful and made it a lovely relaxing holiday.The staff were all very friendly it has a lovely pool area and pool bar there is also a gym ,table tennis and pool tables .We chose room only but if we return will go half board as we did eat in the restaurant twice and both times the food was plenty and tasty but worked out expensive if you pay as you go 26euro each so better to include it in the holiday package however we did shop in the nearby supermarket getting everything we needed fresh bread rolls ,salad and fruits and we did enjoy preparing our own in our own time and eating out on the patio The beach,Nature reserve and the famous sand dunes were a leisurely 50min walk and its all on the flat so very doable for us , if you go to the Sand Dunes about 7pm you can experience the dunes in daylight but once you are there wait until about 9pm to witness the beautiful sun set its amazing along the golden sandy beach are lots of little shops and beach cafes which serve very nice affordable lunches and a cold beer . The famous light house is also along that strip where there are lots of designer shops and top class restaurants and a shopping centre . There are people selling good quality bags ,hats watches ect but they are very friendly and not at all pushy . We also got a taxi 5euro to Playa del ingle's to play mini golf on 2 occasion that is highly recommended very good clean courses where we had refreshments as well ,we did have a walk around that area but it had lots of high rise buildings and it was alot busier so not as appealing to us as Maspalomas Towards the end of our stay it did start to get a bit busier so we may have had a different experience if we arrived later but for us the time we went 14th June was ideal very quiet and very peaceful. It was a great holiday and would definitely go back again . Just a note as we didn't realise until we was just leaving that you have to be out of your room at 11am there is a small cupboard where u can put your suitcases until you leave in the reception but we wasn't made aware that there is a shower room in the ladies toilets downstairs by one of the gyms that we could have used to freshen up before we left at 3.30pm that would have been lovely to use after sitting around all day in the heat 🥵 but apart from that a very enjoyable holiday 😀

Happy to give the hotel 5 stars. It is exceptionally clean with friendly staff. Very quiet. The pool areas had plenty of sunbeds so we were spoiled for choice but stayed within the adults only area, mainly for the jacuzzi 😀 Pool bar has very reasonably priced drinks - huge non-alcoholic cocktail was €4, coke €2. We didn’t try the bar snacks as they were more full meals than snacks and we didn’t really want that. We stayed bed and breakfast so only ate dinner once in the restaurant which had decent choices but with just one meal don’t really feel able to add more detail. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice including hot and cold, fresh fruit, cereals, breads, hams etc. you could also have a fresh omelette made for you. Only downside to staying here, and it doesn’t reflect on the hotel itself, is the distance to any other amenities. With one of our party having a bad hip, long distances were out for us. However, taxis were cheap at around €7 to Maspalomas or Playa del Ingles beaches so not bad when three of you are travelling.

We have just got back from a week trip to Gran Canaria and stayed at the Dunagolf suites we can’t fault it. There was a supermarket 12 minute walk. Drinks around the pool were very reasonable priced. It was about 7.50 in a taxi to Playa del Ingles beachfront and pretty much same everywhere we went around Maspalomas. We only ate out of the snack bar here which was pretty nice maybe on the expensive side though. Bungalows where clean and spacious although our air con didn’t work properly and neither did the TV.

Without doubt the most pleasing surprise we have had on a holiday. Hadn't intended to holiday this year due to other financial priorities but decided last minute ti do a 'cheaper' holiday and Dunagolf fitted the bill. The outstanding positive of the place is the grounds. A lovely pool area, catering best to young families and couples, was fully surrounded by circles of bungalows lined with a superb collection of trees and shrubs. Each bungalow has a terrace area with some also having a side or roof terrace. In the middle of each circle of bungalows there are day beds and sofa's which mean that in addition to the pool area you will never be stuck for somewhere to sunbathe. The place is also immaculately clean. The bungalows themselves are clean, comfortable and light. Seen some reviews mention ants which indeed there were some but these are the smallest ants you will ever see and you just need to ensure food isn't left out. We stayed self catering so can't comment on the breakfast/buffet lunch/dinner. However we did eat at the pool bar which was reasonable and I would suggest the pizzas are the best option. The bar prices are incredibly good with beers, cokes etc costing about €2 each. While not a concern for us as we never made anything more than a sandwich, you could not really call the bungalows self catering as the only facilities available are a small fridge, tiny sink and a microwave. There are not even any bowls and we had to buy paper bowls for our breakfast. Reception area, gym, games areas, public toilets are all nice and only thing missing for us was a shop. Location wise you need to be prepared to either get a taxi everywhere or do a lot of walking. There is a small supermarket about 5-10 mins walk out of the estate but beyond that everything is realistically a taxi journey. That said for about €6 you can be anywhere within Maspalomas, Ingles or Meloneras within 5 minutes of asking receptionfor a taxi. If eating out and nice places to drink are your priority I would definitely spend your nights in the more sophisticated (and expensive) Meloneras where you also get the best sunset experience. A little side note but potentially an additional plus point is the lack of fellow Brits and Germans staying at Dunagolf. The majority of guests appeared to be Spanish and interestingly many had dogs with them. Please note the dogs caused no issues but you should bear it in mind if you have anybody who might be scared/ allergic. In review, a fantastic friendly,comfortable place offering very good value. If we don't come back it will only be because the resort probably doesn't offer enough.

We stayed here for a week in January. The check-in was pretty smooth and quick, and we were soon in the Bungalow. We had one of the bungalows facing the tee of one of the holes close to the road leading in to the hotel. The bongalow was pretty neat with a nice living space with a couch, TV, desk and a small "kitchen" with a microwave and a small fridge. The batroom was spacious and very nice. The same goes for the bedroom. It is clear that these bungalows were refurbished quite recently. We really enjoyed the hotel area in general. The pool area is pretty nice, but could be a little bit cleaner as there are a lot of birds around, and especially around the restaurant area. Also the pool was very cold, it was definitely not warmed up as it said it was going to be on the website. The hotel has a gym, but it is quite bad with old and limited equipment. We did however enjoy the table tennis where you can borrow free rackets and balls from the reception. The hotel is also within walking distance to a small supermarket, and the golf course. We were at the golf course mulitple times, and I can greatly reccomend the food at the golf course restaurant. This leads me to the reason why we ate at the golf course a lot. The hotels restaurant is very bad, at least for dinner service. It is a buffet, and therefore we didn't really excpect much in the first place, but we were still shocked. The food was really dry and tasteless. It really felt like leftovers from the week before. We also had a glass of white wine from the bar that tasted like gasoline. It was almost comical sitting in the brightly lit restaurant eating old food and drinking gasoline :) The breakfast is much better, and is at least edible. I would say that the breakfast is a bit below avarage, but still miles better than dinner. It is definitely a viable option, and we ate the breakfast every day. The day we left we were able to enjoy the pool after having checked out which was really nice. We also got to store our luggage in a luggage room. All in all the hotel is decent if you eat dinner somewhere else. We enjoyed our stay, and are actually going back there in a week.
