Hotel LIVVO Lago Taurito

This is a great hotel. Everything from the receptionists to the entertainers, from the life guards to the cleaners. Firstly the rooms are fantastic. Very spacious and a great big balcony. The cleaners do a fantastic job and was always very nice to come back to a clean room. Secondly the pool. The hotel pool was really good. Great atmosphere around it with very friendly bar staff. The water park pools are salt water. Which wasn't a problem for me and my wife but the little one didn't like it as much. The slides are great fun. But in the waterpark nothing is all inclusive so you do have to pay for what you have in there. I couldn't tell you how expensive or not it as as we didn't bother. It is good to go in for a few hours and come back out for lunch at the hotel the go back in the afternoon. Thirdly the hotel. the location of the hotel is ok. Its a bit of a trek to the local bus stop if there are a few of you but the receptionist will gladly order a taxi for you. The value for money though is really good. On site supermarket with everything you need. The only thing that I did get annoyed about and it was just a little thing....if like me and my wife you like to have a tea or coffee in the mornings you have to hire a kettle at €2.50 a day. The noise level around the hotel is great as they dont play really loud music all during the day. The entertainment is a bit hit and miss there was 2 really great shows on while we were there. A performance of the lion king and one of the greatest showman. And I dont like leaving a bad review but what I will say that shows that didn't have any of the hotels entertainers in weren't the best. The hotel entertainers were brilliant. All ways making time for everyone.....especially phillipo. The bar staff in the evenings are great too. Annoyingly I can't remember there names but 2 of them were really funny together and made time for everyone. Lastly the food. We never had any problems with the food here and there was always something that all 9 of us would eat. Good selection and I even managed to get the kids to try calamari.... Overall would definitely recommend for everyone whether it's as a couple or as a family.

Room was dirty with bugs on arrival. Maids said they cleaned but it wasn't very noticeable. Food was ok. Pool was fine.

Where do I even begin? On arrival at Lago Taurito, the hotel looked lovely from the outside. We had to wait for our room to be ready, but we were able to use the pool in the meantime. Unfortunately, this is where our disappointment began. The pool area was a huge letdown. It was overcrowded, filthy and, at times, completely chaotic. There were grown men walking around behaving as though they needed to prove who was the alpha male, feral behaviour from children running around everywhere, and parents acting as though they were on an 18–30s holiday rather than a family-friendly resort. I witnessed people pouring drinks directly into each other's mouths, and the language being used around the pool was absolutely disgusting, especially considering the number of young children present. Adults were jumping into the pool right beside little ones, which was an accident waiting to happen. With so many people crammed into the pool area, I genuinely felt that the lifeguard was out of his depth trying to manage the situation. The cleanliness of the pool was another major concern. During our seven-day stay, the pool appeared to be cleaned only once. There was chewing gum stuck to the sides and, most disgustingly, what appeared to be faeces in the water. This was completely unacceptable and raised serious concerns about hygiene and safety. The rooms also need attention. They felt very dated and were in desperate need of a refurbishment. The balcony wall was crumbling, which did not give us much confidence in the overall maintenance of the property. To give credit where it is due, the restaurant food was good, with plenty of choice, including options for vegetarians. However, the waiting staff were far too eager to clear away plates and drinks before we had even finished. It made meals feel rushed rather than relaxing. Overall, although the hotel initially looked promising and the food was enjoyable, the overcrowded and unhygienic pool area, inappropriate behaviour from some guests and the condition of the rooms seriously affected our holiday. A family holiday should be somewhere you can relax and feel comfortable, not somewhere you have to worry about hygiene, safety and the behaviour of other guests. Sadly, based on our experience, Lago Taurito fell well short of our expectations. The hotel management really needs to address these issues, particularly the pool cleanliness, overcrowding and general maintenance

Honest opinion...the hotel was huge. The room we were in was large but had an adjoining door which meant every time a new person came in to the next room the door was constantly rattled to see if it would open! You could hear absolutely everything from the people in the other room down to them using the toilet. We had to sleep with earplugs and complained to reception. There were no lights on the top floor corridor and after speaking to reception, it took them 3 days to sort it. The food was very good for a 3* hotel. Some of the best choice of food we have had and always something with fresh food cooked and brought out frequently. The pool area was disgusting! It was very dirty and the sunbeds were covered in dirt so much so it ruined my beach towels! The pool is far too small for the size of the hotel. The hotel is very dated and a lot of things could be fixed such as rails coming off in the bathroom, broken doors and tiles. Some of the staff in the restaurant and the cleaners were lovely but a lot of others made no attempt to smile or look at you. The reception staff bar one young girl were surly too and looked like they didn't want to be there. This is one hotel that I will not be back to. It needs a good clean and update.

Never again will I come here it’s like Coke city in the night me and my wife and child walking down the road been an offered Cocaine quote a few occasions. Basically the getup for Coke heads
