Revoli Playa Apartments

Never again the problems we've had in 14 days are disgusting this hotel is not a 4 star i really will not be coming back we have been coming to gran canaria for over 20 years and never experienced anything like this in any other hotel its terrible

Grupotel Revoli is a great apartment complex to go to. Staff are very friendly. Rooms are lovely & clean. There's entertainment on every night. Activities by the pool on every day. There is a snack bar & restaurant & only 10 mins walk away from shops & restaurants. Would definitely go back.

Maybe it was just us that was issued a bad room? And a bad experience with the Tui rep (one who was covering for a day) or maybe the hotel reception...all to blame hence the poor review as this wasnt acceptable for what we paid for this holiday. We had booked the rocamar as a special anniversary and went for the stunning views and good reviews. TUI then said we have to change due to new management taking over, I explained this was ok as reviews seeemed good. We arrived at 10pm the room had just been cleaned and I could smell varnish/paint in the room and strong cleaning fluid..stains all over tables, sofa, hairs on floor and when I put my items on the bedside table...everything stuck to it realising this had just been "badly" painted/varnished. I asked reception to change, they didnt have any available rooms for 2 days and told me I had to have confirmation from TUI to change rooms which they would do, which was fine and we lived out of our suitcases, after phone calls for 2 days with TUI and speaking to the very rude rep (who told me this is what all standard rooms were like!) We were assured we would be moved..but this never happened as reception said they never got told by TUI! Even another clean didnt sort this out as stains were heavily inbedded. View was rubbish too with a lot of noise from the road...but if the room would have been ok I wouldnt have minded, the room was bad and the badly painted bedside stable was just sticky all week! TUI never did anything so we just stayed in the room. After all that! Its a good location, beach to the right and main commercial centre to the left of the hotel. Beakfast was fine although the bread seemed stale so bought our own to take down, also omelettes wernt made fresh so they could be sat there for ages under a heat lamp going crispy! So had to watch the chef doing them for a fresh one. Walk round to the ferrys for any boat trips, we went on 4 whist we were there inc 2 ferry trips. Taxi to Amadores beach was 4/5 euros. Didnt use the pool/activities...wouldnt have minded the aquasize but nothing started until 11.30...like the TUI rep! Wont be back!
