Riu Vistamar

We’ve had the most amazing stay at Riu Vistamar and honestly can’t fault it! Our room, 389, was absolutely stunning and we’ve been so impressed with everything from start to finish. All the staff have been incredible. Everyone is so friendly, welcoming and happy to help. Nothing is ever too much trouble and you can really see how hard they all work to make sure everyone has a fantastic holiday. They are a real credit to the hotel. The animation and entertainment team have been absolutely brilliant too. So friendly, full of energy and always smiling. They make such an effort with everyone and really help make the holiday special. ❤️ The cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hotel have been excellent in our experience. Everything has been lovely and clean, and we have felt comfortable throughout our stay. I do think some of the negative reviews about bugs and sickness need to be taken with a pinch of salt. Of course, people can become unwell on holiday and nobody can say exactly where that comes from, but personal hygiene and proper handwashing are important too. It seems unfair to automatically blame the hotel when we have personally seen such high standards of cleanliness. We honestly couldn’t be happier with our experience. A huge thank you to every single member of the Riu Vistamar team for making our holiday so special. You are all amazing and your hard work really does show.

I have just returned from a weeks holiday at the riu vistamar gran canaria and can honestly say what a gorgeous hotel. Staff were lovely, michael from columbia from entertainment team was brilliant in particular and the man at reception when we checked in was so welcoming and pleasant (not sure of his name). Our hotel room was spotless with gorgeous views over amadores beach. We had room 491 and couldnt fault it, cleaning staff were amazing and attended every day and so friendly. Food had plenty of choice to suit everyone only downfall was the food wasnt labelled so at times werent sure what we were eating and maybe a separate section for children could be a good idea. They had lots of choices though at every meal and even a chocolate fountain. Drinks options were wine or beer at dinner or juice. There are 3 pools again the area and pools are spotless, staff continually clearing glasses. Only downfall for those with children is they are not allowed inflatables or balls in the pool area so i wouldnt say its children friendly as that really does make a childs holiday which is a shame as i would have returned with the children. There is a few reviews about this hotel with sickness and diahorrea however we seen nothing of the sort, did not hear of anyone who had anything and it definetly cant be from the cleanliness or fault of the hotel so please don’t believe what you read. I would definetly return to this hotel as a couple but i dont think i would return with my young children which is unfortunate. Thanks for an amazing stay and experience.

1st time staying at the riu vistamar. We had room 392 and a nice view of Amadores Beach. Even though its a big hotel we found it very easy to navigate around. Pool beds were easily found, even in the late afternoon. The food was good, although not as good or varied compared to the Servator Porto Azul which we have also stayed in. Which considering this is a 4Plus and Azul is a 4 star, I'd expect the riu to be better. Food was a little repetitive and not so much choice as other mentioned hotel. The Riu party on Fridays though is a must, great and free experience, but book in advance as it gets full. Pools are abit on the cold side though (disappointingly). The free bus to Amadores beach saved a lot of money on the taxis or walking. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The only major problem is people smoking on the balcony's, lots of it happening and on many occasions we couldn't have the balcony doors open due to the smell of cigarette smoke and even cannabis on one occasion. Entertainment though is very poor, but your close enough to visit better entertainment either in the Europa just up the road, or head down to the commercial centre. The best part of the hotel is the sports bar, its 24 hours and has drinks and snacks available (burgers , hotdogs) and a great view on the balcony overlooking the sea and peurto rico. Although the staff tend to disappear a lot after midnight and need finding on many occasions, ended up serving myself a couple of times. The rooms are very nice, maids cleaned every day, free bottled water and even cartons of milk whenever you need them from the sports bar. I would definitely recommend this hotel and we would definitely return. The hotel is next door to the Altamar, which I have visited many times, and is far nicer and a better all over experience. Its worth the extra.

We Are Currently Staying At The RIU VISTAMAR..What A Hotel !!!..FANTASTIC !!!..Do Not Believe People Who Put Negative Comments..We Have Stayed In Countless RIU Hotels & This One Is One Of The Best !!!…The Reception Staff/Housekeeping & Food Staff Are FANTASTIC !!!!..The Entertainment Is Good..Food/Drinks Are Good..You Do Not Have To The Local Brands..Ask For Named Ones No Extra Charge…PLEASE Don’t Listen To Negative Comments..BOOK RIU VISTAMAR & ENJOY !!!☀️☀️☀️☀️

I’ve Been to this hotel 6 times and Never get bored of it, Amazing Service, Rooms and Very Friendly employees, I love how clean everything is and how Respectfull staff is, i want to put out there that I REALLY recomend this Hotell, If you need foot there always is, if you need drinks Grab when/what you want. When you enter your hotellrom You never get disapointed in your view. The atmosphere is also amazing, cozy, beautifull and relaxing. Amazing Location on top of hill and also That there isn’t Hotels Way to close to you. Eventhough its not a Cheap hotell, its deffently worth it as you’re gonna have the time of your life, also For the price You get allinclusive, no need to worry about buying drinks/food. There is alot more but i don’t think I want to write all the good stuff, its gonna take me a day. Book your trip here 5 Clear stars for me
